How Lazada sellers qualify for LazMallOne

A question that keeps coming up in the Lazada Philippines seller community is some version of “how do I actually get LazMallOne, and is it the same thing as applying for LazMall?” It’s a fair question, because Lazada doesn’t explain the two tracks side by side anywhere obvious, and sellers end up guessing which documents to prepare.

Short answer: LazMall is the badge Lazada gives to brand owners and authorized distributors selling under a registered trademark. LazMallOne is the parallel track for strong local sellers who don’t own a brand but run a clean, well-reviewed store, sourcing from wherever they legitimately source, and want the same badge, checkout placement, and campaign eligibility without a trademark certificate in hand. This tutorial is for sellers in that second bucket, an operating Lazada store with real sales history and decent metrics, wondering what boxes actually need ticking.

By the end you’ll know what Lazada checks before it shows you the LazMallOne option, how the application itself runs inside Seller Center, and what changes operationally once you’re approved. I’m not affiliated with Lazada, this is written from the outside based on Seller Center’s public process and what’s visible in the seller community, so treat exact thresholds as something to confirm in your own dashboard since they move.

what you need

  • an existing Lazada seller account with real sales history, not a store opened last month
  • account health sitting inside Lazada’s current LazMall thresholds for rating, chat response, cancellation rate and non-fulfillment rate
  • valid business registration for your market: DTI or SEC plus a BIR Certificate of Registration in the Philippines, ACRA in Singapore, SSM in Malaysia, or the local equivalent
  • product listings that already meet a “mall-grade” bar: consistent photography, complete variant info, no placeholder images
  • time for a verification step, expect it to run a few weeks rather than a few days
  • someone dedicated to answering chat and completing the application, LazMall-tier response SLAs are tighter than standard marketplace ones
  • no cost to apply, but LazMall’s commission tiers differ from regular Marketplace fees, so check the numbers against your margins before you push for the badge, see how Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop fees compare

step by step

1. Confirm you’re actually eligible before you apply

Check your Seller Center homepage and notifications for a LazMallOne banner or an entry under the Growth or LazMall section. Some accounts see an explicit invite, others just see the option appear once metrics clear the bar.

Expected output: Seller Center either shows the application option or tells you which metric is short.

If it breaks: if nothing shows up at all, message Lazada seller support directly and ask specifically about LazMallOne by name, since the rollout has been uneven across markets and support agents don’t always volunteer it.

2. Get your account health inside the band

Pull your account health report for the last 30 to 90 days and check your rating, chat response rate, cancellation rate and late shipment rate against Lazada’s current published LazMall thresholds.

Expected output: every metric sitting at or above the required bar, ideally with margin rather than right on the line.

If it breaks: if cancellations are high because of stockouts rather than service issues, fix the inventory sync first. I go into the specific metrics Lazada, Shopee and TikTok Shop each track in account health across the three platforms, worth a read before you touch the application.

3. Register the business properly

For the Philippines that means DTI registration for a sole proprietorship or SEC for a partnership or corporation, plus a BIR Certificate of Registration. Other markets have their own equivalents.

Expected output: documents where the business name and address match what’s on your Lazada account exactly.

If it breaks: a mismatch between your DTI/BIR name and your Lazada seller name is one of the most common reasons applications get bounced back for manual review. I’ve written up the Philippine paperwork in detail in BIR registration requirements for Philippine sellers, and while that piece was written with Shopee sellers in mind, the same registration documents apply here. This isn’t legal or tax advice, confirm your specific registration route with DTI, BIR, or a local accountant.

4. Confirm which track actually fits your store

If you own or are authorized to sell a registered trademark, that’s the standard LazMall application. If you’re a solid generalist or local seller without brand ownership, LazMallOne is built for you instead. Get Lazada support to confirm this before you assemble a document set, applying under the wrong track just burns a review cycle.

Expected output: clarity on whether you need a trademark certificate or the local-seller compliance document set.

If it breaks: if support can’t give you a straight answer, escalate through your account manager if you have one. Smaller or newer sellers often don’t, in which case an in-app support ticket referencing “LazMallOne” by name tends to route better than a generic query.

5. Bring listings up to the presentation bar

Audit your top SKUs for photo consistency, complete variant and size information, and no placeholder or stock-supplier images. LazMall review typically includes a look at listing quality, not just account numbers.

Expected output: a catalog that looks deliberately merchandised, not a raw dump from a supplier feed.

If it breaks: budget real photo or creative time before you apply. A half-finished catalog is one of the most common reasons an otherwise-qualified application stalls in review.

6. Submit the application through Seller Center

Go to the LazMall or Growth section in Seller Center, select the LazMallOne option, and upload your business registration, ID, and whatever product compliance documents Lazada requests for your category.

Seller Center > Growth > LazMall > Apply
Upload: business registration, valid ID, category compliance docs (if applicable)

Expected output: an application reference number you can track from your dashboard.

If it breaks: upload failures are almost always file size or format. Keep documents as PDF under Lazada’s stated limit. If the apply option isn’t visible at all, go back to step 1, your account likely isn’t flagged eligible yet.

7. Handle the verification step

Respond promptly to any request for a video call, extra documents, or a physical product sample for authenticity or quality checks.

Expected output: verification marked complete in Seller Center, usually visible as a status change on the application.

If it breaks: missing a verification window tends to push the application to the back of the queue rather than failing it outright. Treat any Lazada request as time-sensitive and reply inside the window they give you.

8. Get the decision and complete onboarding

Once approved, Lazada assigns the LazMall badge, updates your commission tier, and unlocks LazMall-specific campaign eligibility.

Expected output: the badge live on your storefront and the new fee structure reflected in your next billing statement.

If it breaks: if the badge doesn’t appear within the timeframe Lazada gave you, raise a ticket referencing your application number rather than reapplying from scratch, a duplicate application usually just confuses the queue.

9. Keep meeting the bar after approval

LazMall status isn’t a one-time achievement. Keep tracking account health the same way you did before applying, because Lazada can review and pull the badge if metrics slip.

Expected output: account health reports that stay inside the required band every review cycle, not just at application time.

If it breaks: if a metric dips, for example a bad batch of late shipments, fix the operational cause immediately. Acting before the next review generally lands better than explaining it after.

common pitfalls

  • applying with a seller account name that doesn’t match your DTI/SEC and BIR documents exactly, which triggers avoidable manual review delays
  • confusing standard LazMall (brand-owner track) with LazMallOne (local-seller track) and preparing the wrong document set from the start
  • letting account health slip right after submitting, not realizing Lazada may re-check metrics partway through review, not just at the moment you applied
  • treating the badge as permanent once granted and easing off on response times or fulfillment, then losing status at the next review
  • underestimating listing cleanup time, a half-finished catalog is one of the most common reasons applications sit in review longer than expected

scaling this

At a handful of SKUs, staying inside LazMall’s account health band is mostly about discipline: check the dashboard weekly, fix stockouts fast. Once you’re running a real catalog, manual tracking across orders, stock and chat starts breaking down, and it’s worth moving to a proper multichannel order tool, I’ve compared the main options in multichannel order management tools for SEA sellers.

At the point where you’ve got multiple staff answering chat across several Lazada storefronts, response time consistency gets harder to control, and device setup starts to matter. I cover the operational side of running seller apps across several phones in running seller apps across multiple phones. One specific case worth flagging: if part of your footprint is a Lazada Singapore storefront and the device managing it hops between wifi and mobile data or gets shared with other apps, that inconsistency can look odd to Lazada’s fraud checks tied to that account’s registered location. Keeping that one storefront on a dedicated device with a stable Singapore IP, for example a rented Android phone with a persistent Singapore mobile IP through cloudf.one, is one way sellers keep that specific account’s sessions consistent. It only helps if you actually have Singapore-based operations, it’s Singapore-only, so it’s not a general fix for LazMallOne eligibility elsewhere.

At true multi-market, multi-brand scale, this stops being an application problem and becomes a compliance and reporting problem. Watch platform rules closely here: Lazada, like Shopee, restricts how many stores one entity can run per market, and trying to spread SKUs across extra accounts to game LazMall metrics is exactly the kind of thing that gets flagged. I’ve laid out where those lines sit in the rules on running multiple Shopee and Lazada stores. At this scale, a dedicated compliance point of contact on your team pays for itself.

Reference points worth bookmarking: Lazada’s own Seller Center, the Philippines Department of Trade and Industry for sole proprietorship registration, and the Bureau of Internal Revenue for tax registration, since these are the primary sources Seller Center itself points to for business verification.
